Industrial Visit cum Educational
Tour Report
The Department of Computer Science, Lal Bahadur
Shastri College of Arts, Commerce & Science, Satara organized an
Industrial Visit cum Educational Tour for B.Sc.III Computer Science students on
22nd and 23rd January 2026. The purpose of this visit was to expose students to
real industrial environments, enhance practical understanding of software
development processes, and develop overall teamwork and professional awareness
beyond classroom learning.
The tour
began on 22nd January 2026 from Satara to Kolhapur. Students visited Biyani
Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Kolhapur, an established IT company providing
services in software development, training, and IT solutions. During the
industrial session, the company’s HR Manager, Mugdha Ma’am, interacted
with the students and provided detailed information about the company
structure, projects undertaken, work culture, recruitment expectations,
required skill sets, and industrial discipline. She explained various
technologies currently in use, career pathways in the IT sector, internship
opportunities, and guided students regarding communication, teamwork, learning
mindset, and interview preparation. Students also received exposure to
real-time development workflows, testing processes, documentation roles, and
teamwork in IT companies. Students showed keen interest and
asked several questions regarding software development processes, programming
languages in demand, future trends in IT, company hiring procedures, and
internship requirements. Mugdha Ma’am responded to all queries patiently and
encouraged students to develop technical depth, communication skills, and a
continuous learning mindset. Students also gained exposure to real-time
development workflows, documentation roles, testing procedures, and
coordination within IT project teams.
On 23rd
January 2025, the group visited important locations in Ratnagiri including
beaches and nearby local points. This part of the tour helped students develop
cultural awareness, responsible travel behavior, team bonding, confidence, and
observational learning. After completion of the educational tour, the group
started the return journey from Ratnagiri to Satara and reached Satara by
approximately 11:00 PM on the same day.
A total
of 20 students and 3 faculty members participated in the tour. All travel,
stay, and safety arrangements were conducted smoothly under the supervision of
faculty members, and no disciplinary issues were observed. Students expressed
positive feedback and shared that the visit enhanced their industrial
knowledge, communication skills, and overall confidence. The industrial visit
proved academically beneficial while the educational tour contributed to
personality development and group coordination.
The
Department of Computer Science sincerely thanks the college administration for
support and extends special gratitude to Biyani Technologies Pvt. Ltd.,
Kolhapur, especially HR Manager Mugdha Ma’am, for their valuable
guidance and hospitality. The visit was completed successfully and achieved its
academic objectives.
